Z31 missing

Ok so I might be buying an 88 300z n/a and I took it out for a spin and it was running like shit. They guy told me it ran like shit because it has nothing b4 the maf. So no air filter or pipe And the pipe b4 the maf being unplugged are the reason it runs like shit. Can anyone confirm that that's true?

If it were me i'd walk away, running the car without an air filter is a pretty foolish move unless you know you're in a totally dust free environment.

The car was sitting for over 6 months at a garage because it needed a gas tank. And I've driven car without a air filter for over a year and no problems. I just want to know if you disconnected the " pipe-blow by" according to a parts site. If it'll run like crap

The car should have no problems running an open MAF.

I have ran both of my cars on an open MAF before with no problems. I have seen and know ppl running open MAF.... Dude doesnt know what he is talking about.

Ok that's what I thought. Where and what does that pipe do? It looks like it connects right before the maf sensor on the filter side. I'm looking up in Antioch.
