95 OBD1 Catalytic Converter

Quick question, I have a 95 S14 obd1. Been doing some research and before I go buy a Catco catalytic converter, does the 95 s14 have a single catalytic converter in the down pipe and just a hollow test pipe where the cat is normally in 96+?

I don't want to run a test pipe because I have a few more years before I hit the 25 year mark. Also I am running ISR 3" blast pipes, running a test pipe would make it more obnoxious than it already is.

Yes, infact all US S14s have only one cat and it's located in the downpipe. The other is a dummy cat where the JDM SR20DET cats were located.

Thanks for info. So my only option is to buy a universal cat and have a shop replace it?

Reason why I need to replace it is I failed my emission test last year with high NOx last year. Replaced the EGR vavle but barely passed.

Go through the shop manual. There are other things that cause high NOx.
