s13 Car died randomly 240sx

So ive been driving my car for awhile now & it seemed to run fine. This whole day it ran fine. Then as i was leaving the hospital i came to a stop sign, put it in first gear and when i started to gas it i felt resistance pressure on the pedal and the car felt like it was gunna die with low rpm then i put it in neutral and let go of the gas and it just died on me. I tried to start the car and it turned on but 2 secs later it just died. I waited a good 5 mins or so and tried to start and it started and began running again. Whats with this sudden dieing of the car? My friend thought it was my alternator but im not sure of it. The car seemed to be very hot i dont think that's be a problem with it dieing would it? I also have a bolt from my mishimoto radiator rubbing against my stock intake which is plastic and is carving through it. If it has a small hole would that cause it? Anything to figure this out would help so i can prevent it in the future. Thanks

It could cause the car to die, depends on the hole size. There is unmetered air going into the engine. Patch the hole wth some tape and see if that fixes it. If it deos find a more permanent solution to get that bolt from rubbing up against it.
