Don't even start with me on my comcast/ time warner cable connection

they are switching over from comcast to time warner so some of the equipment is still comcast. If i happen to go to any wep page that pulls too much bandwich the internet dies on me. The only thing i can do to temporarily fix it is unplug my router and plug it back.

happens to guy down my street also.

I get 9341/2103 here at work

at home it was 21099/2244 - not the best but its ok for me...

Judging by this test my internet connection is fast. But as far as real usability it's worthless. I drop signal like 20 times a day along with spans of no signal. It pretty much makes playing xbl useless.

Mine is pretty borked...

I'm supposed to have 5Mbps/1Mbps (dunno which type, its a ethernet plug in the dorm).

If I choose the Montreal server I get that.



During the test, the upload shoots to around 30Mbps, gets to 100% real fast, but gets stuck there, and jumps back to 900kbps...

Even if I choose another server it's not the "advertised" speed..


and another different test



not that I'm complaining, I get easily 2,5MB/s on megaupload
