Bottom line-Which FPR: Rising rate or No?

Ok so I'm about to buy a FPR for my Race car (and my daily possibly) that I'm constructing but Read sooooo many diff Threads and Regulators used (problems w/ some/NISMO models, etc).

Do I need a Rising rate or Not?

Not planning on running Serious Boost (gonna run Maxima MAF also) but wanna make sure everything is taken care off.
turbos Used:
GT2860
GT2560 (haven't decided what turbo on What car yet)

*Injectors are also a question: SR injectors good up to what power/boost levels (use stock Inj w/ Maxima Maf or step up period when using bigger MAF)?

yes get a rising rate 1:1 fpr. I have a nismo and have had no trouble out of it. Nismo and tomie fprs are the same thing. Some people have said to had issues, i havent seen any personally that have.

the 2560 should be good for the high high 200s I believe but im not quite sure what people push out of them to be honest and the 2860 is the disco potato and your looking in the ballpark of 330 if .64 and 350 if .68

What method of tuning are you going with? I do recommend injectors and maf upgrades, but dont run it on a stock ecu or try to piggy back it. Your going to want to do either a rom tune or standalone.

As far as injectors, I say 550 minium if going with the 2560 or 660 minium if going with the 2860. Also, I find that you can get 72lb hr msd injectors and 740cc hks injectors sometimes cheaper than you can find smaller ones and It wont hurt to go ahead and go that large just in case you ever decide to go with more power. I would run a q45 maf just because they are more commenly tuned and should have a larger diameter tube than a maxima one. Your going to want a walbro 255 lph pump if you dont already have one along with a z32 fuel filter.

If you need any more help or help finding good prices (wink) pm me.

Just Spring for a GT2871R .64 or .86 Ditch the N60 MAF and get an N62
Q45 MAF is Overkill, N62 MAF will be more than enough.

and get 740cc Injectors and a Sard FPR I have one works great.

Better to have more fuel than not enough

Excellent.What I needed to hear.
Ok so rising rate it is.Sard was my 1st choice for the daily and possibly Aeromotive for the Track car (if rise rate).

BTW: MAXIMA Maf is 3" just not I'm sure High Horse power rated like the Z32.I have 2 so I figured I'd use them.
My T25 is already maxing out Air according to the consult.

My friend Does excellent Daughterboard Tunes so I'm gonna Run His tunes on both cars (swapping the Wideband from 1 to the other for tuning).
***SAFC needed also or can I get by w/ a SAFC on the 2560 car Only?

Trying to decided which turbo for which set up (Track or Daily) But FPR was my Next purchase next to Injectors.

2860 is the .84 BTW. Track....?? Meh,..prob not as the spool correct?

Track car I'd say I wanna be @ 225-250whp Max only because I don't want it (power) to Overwork my Driving skill.
the daily Is down for whatever. It dosen't matter.

well for 250 the Stock SR MAF should be fine, I pulled 254 @ 10psi with stock ECU and Inj. on a S14 T-28, But began to run lean after 5500RPM, (For information purposes) so you definatly need bigger inj.

If your goals are only 250 then the either turbo will be fine for your goals
you could get the GT2860RS and still have room for more power if ya wanted
N60 MAF will be fine for 250hp, (but if me i'd run an N62 MAF) and some 660cc inj (or what ever size around that)

true.. but is the 2860's boost gonna Come on fast enough for a Track car (Turn Exits, etc) is the reason I'm having a hard time deciding.Would think the 2560 may have better "instant spool"
I know nothing of these Turbo's and how they handle.
