Relax, it's not a show car...
Decided to post up my build for those who have questions on how the swap goes. Purchased last august, a bone stock auto 1995 240SX base model with working AC and 220,000 miles on the ODO.

Day #4
Went with a CX Racing kit that I got at a steal from a member on here, let me just say not pleased with fitment and I've had to modify almost every part. Going back I would be Sikky or Fueled the whole way. MGW Short shifter All buttoned up together for test fit

From this point I will go onto weeks rather than days cause work and life gets in the way of the want to work on my car everyday.

I'm impressed by the head shielding job in the trans tunnel and bay. Engine compartment looks very nice now. Are you planning on keeping AC/PS/Heat/Cruise?

AC - Yes, I do have the Sikky kit, just waiting to get it installed.
PS - Yes, running turn one adapter and Sikky PS conversion lines. Cruise - No Heat - No The car is running and driving, have about 1000 miles on rebuild so far. I just have to get all my photos straight

What killed the rod bearings? Was the engine a dud when you bought it?
Why are you using a small cam and stock 241 heads on top of that wonderful forged rotating assembly? Why not just grind the crank and replace the rod bearings on your old rods? Have you noticed a huge difference with the heat shielding on the trans tunnel? I could cook breakfast on my trans tunnel and I'm in need of some ideas to fix it. Doesn't take you long to get things done! Looking forward to seeing your progress. Looks good! |

Lost Count Now
Small updates, had some noise from rockers so decided to go with the Comp cam kit. Install Nismo power brace, and LRB Speed undertray which still needs to be modified for my oil filter. Installed a used lip I got, just some more shots. Next update: -GT Spec fender braces -New hood cable -Harness tuck on fenders -Bigger E-Fans to keep this thing cool

Updates 7/5/18
During the 4th I was able to get some stuff done... Harness tuck and GT Spec fender braces. Mishimoto slim fans were shitty and not cutting it so I put these on. Wrapped the intake to help reduce IAT's, got it buttoned back up Debating doing a hood scoop, I simply cannot get enough airflow with my tight space.
