1996 S14 Won't Start - Fuel Pump Related
Hello, my car won't start because the fuel pump isn't running.
Turned the key and I'm not hearing the fuel pump. So, next step is the fuel pump fuse, and it's fine. Next step is looking at the fuel pump relay. Where exactly is this relay? And also, what's the next troubleshooting steps after I look at this relay? Thanks a bunch! (I think the fuel pump is poorly wired and I'd like to know how to fix this as well!) |

Fuel pump is ground-controlled by the ecu.
You need to learn how to use a multimeter and test to see if you're getting power to your fuel pump with the key 'on'. If so, check if your ECU is getting power, enabling it to switch the ground, completing the fuel pump circuit. If it does get power, try hard wiring your fuel pump to see if it took a crap. If not, check your EGI relay, see if it's getting power where it's supposed to with the key "on". |
