So this morning NASA is launching a missle at the moon that is designed to sniff the debris to find out if there is water in the soil. Recently, an Indian probe found a very thin atmosphere on the moon which materialized over the last 40 years (Apollo missions found NO atmosphere in the early 70's). Indias' space agency has put off publishing the results of what they found saying there needs to be scientific verification. How does an atmosphere materialize over a few decades? Some say the recent Indian discovery is due to human colonization by black ops organizations and NASAs' mission is to destroy evidence. Others say that significantly low sunspot activity has reduced the solar wind enough to lower pressure enough to allow vapors to escape the lunar soil. Honestly, anyone can say both ideas are hairbrained. But the fact remains that an atmosphere has materialized (yet to be verified) in an extremely short amount of geologic time. Why?
