I have search google and nothing. I'm having issues with my clutch or tranny on a CA18. It's been happening often, when I'm crusing to a stop on any gear and I'm close to coming to a complete stop and press in the clutch to put it in neutral. The shifter sometimes does not want to come out of gear I have to force it out of gear or give it a quick little rev on the gas to disengage it out of gear. Also when it gets stuck in gear it gives the appearance of wanting to stall for a brief second. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the throw out bearing. Any input will be appreciated

Sounds more like a clutch problem or something along those lines. Only way to really pin point it would be to drop the tranny. But when you rev it and it comes out easier is telling me the tranny is fine.

Yeah and it's weird because sometimes it's kind of hard to put it in first when at a stop. I have to ease up to first for it not to feel like metal rubbing. If I engage 2nd first and then put it in first it goes in with no problems. It's like if I have to align the guidance or something. So pretty much I have two issues but they do sound like the accomplice to both is the clutch

it sounds like your clutch is going bad. also check you clutch master cylinder any leaks

It has done that since I got the car 2 1/2 yrs ago. I bleed the system to the best of my ability. I bleed it because the car was sitting for about 4 months after driving it for a yr and the clutch loss pressure. I bleed until there were no bubbles. There's not much free play on the pedal.

My friends mustang does the same thing. Your clutch is not fully disengaging. It could be the pressure plate, throw out bearing, or something in the hydraulic system. Before you take the tranny out, see if you can adjust your pedal

Thats what i thought but i checked the Clutch master and has no leaks. Still full of fluid since the last time I bled the system.

Exactly what I'm leaning towards. Just adjust the pedal from the back right? It should be a little tighter, correct?

I'm sure a lot of people who are reading this post might be saying " why doesn't this guy just take the tranny out and check the clutch and get it over with" but being that its my daily driver I just don't have time to take it apart and do a detail check up and then put it back together while I order the part and then take it down again and put it back together. Just trying to save some time.

you're not checking the tightness of the pedal, your adjustment will be the stroke of the clutch pedal rod (length), you can thread the rod in and out of the back of your pedal, effectively changing your clutch engagement, if its adjusted wrong it might not be disengaging all the way..

Thats what my first impression was. But he's not getting good engagement. The pedal could still be adjusted wrong, there could be air in the system, bad master or slave, bad throwout bearing, or clutch is shot. Try to adjust the pedal first. If that doesn't help and you already checked master and slave, well it's time to drop the tranny.

Adjust the pedal engagement to the middle and are still running the stupid clutch damper loop? If you are, google search how to get rid of it and take it out. Makes bleeding the damn clutch line alot easier.

Ok I adjusted the pedal but its too high now. Lol ill get home later and adjusted again. Yeah I'm still running the clutch damper. I'm afraid to break the hard line while twisting it
