Couple favorites of mine.

My first 240 had a real bad exhaust leak it was stock and auto got it for 900 bucks back in 07'. Some kid in an accord with 3 friends in the car decides to rev at me. I was young we race I win. Come up to the next light. And I get this convo.

Him: Yo dude that thing got a turbo?
Me: Uh no its stock
Him: No way that's stock its louder then a normal car it has to be a turbo.
Me: Nope not turbo sorry.
Him: Dude just cause you won doesn't mean you gotta be a dick and lie to me. I'm not trying to steal your sh*t.
I have a confused look on my face as he drives away.

More recent one I have had.

I was installing a header on my car and my step dad's cousin, who is living with him for the time being, comes out to see what I am doing.

Him: Yo dude what you doing to your car? Need help I used to work in a dealership so I am pretty good with cars.
Me: Na dude i'm good just putting in a header not that hard of a job.
Him: Not that hard of a job? Man that takes a while to do you have to take off the whole top of the motor.
Me: Uh what no you don't it's six bolts and disconnecting the EGR.
Him: Dude that's the header. *Points to the head of the motor*
Me: No that's the head. I'm replacing the header. *Points to header*
Him: Aw man what kinda car is this everything is different from what I used to do.
Me: It's a Nissan. (I don't think he noticed it on the valve cover he pointed to earlier)
Him: Damn man your shitting on my stuff I thought this was a Mazda.

I had to walk away at that point. My car is at my mom and step dads place for storage while I work on it. I literally packed everything up and had to go home after that.

I was in Autozone the other day talking to some friends that work there when this kid walks in. Apparently he comes in a lot since my friends told me I was in for a laugh.

Him-You drift that man?
Me-I try to sometimes
Him-Oh yeah me and a group of kids from school drift in parking garages sometimes
Me-Ha oh yeah?
Him-Yeah man it gets pretty intense. The other day my boy was drifting through there and flipped his car on the side. He just opened his door really hard so it turned back on the wheels though. Not even a scratch in the paint man.
Me-(blank stare)

Same guy like 3 minutes later after seeing my fading clear coat on my roof
Him-Hey man your roof looks pretty rough
Me-Yeah, I'm trying to save up for a paint job
Him-Ah I used to have that problem on my Mazda 626. What you gotta do it sand it down with like 400 grit sand paper and then spray paint it.

I was in traffic the other day and this stock civic with AEM stickers all over it revs as I pass him. We then get stopped next to each other at a light.
Him-Yo man, that thing stock?
Me-Pretty much, just exhaust
Him-(disappointed look as he speeds away weaving cars and blowing smoke everywhere)
Apparently since my car is "stock" I wasn't worth talking to.

last summer at the gas station this civic with the biggest wing i have ever seen(which was not centered btw) sees my car and parks right beside me, hes like is it still running?? im like yea you think i towed it here? him "nah its just that i used to own a rx7 and you have to be careful rotary engines dont like to be rev'd i would get some titanium valves cause sooner or later they are gonna snap". then my buddy funniest thing i have ever heard he's like "why don't you grab your shitvec by the wing and push it home like a big as shopping cart"

I bought a 04 wrx back in 05 and didnt know too much about the suby scene. I knew it had a "boxer" engine, but I always thought my friends were saying "boxster" (porsche).

So one day I was out driving kinda fast and I said "gotta love that boxster engine".

I am still reminded of this as I have purchased two subarus since then and they always ask if the new one has the boxster engine....

It does happen quiet a bit. Pulled up to autozone to get some hose for my SR last weekend and some tow truck driver came out of nowhere

Him- Where the hell did you find one of those?

Customer : Are you located on a big street?
Me : Yea, Were close to a freeway exit.
Customer : but are you on a big street? Im trying going to take a bus there...
Me : umm.... but the body kit is really big, dont think you can take it on the bus. O_o?
Customer : well i work for the transit, its okay. Just tell me what bus to take.
Me : Sorry, i dont take the bus so I cannot tell you what bus to take to come here.
Customer : Is there anyone at your office that can tell me?
Me : No, theres noone here that takes the bus to work in this office.
Customer : Well can you search online and tell me? (Attitude)
Me : Sorry, i do not know where to even begin finding a bus route that comes here..
Customer : Can you help me out? Im not looking to spend $150 on shipping.. im coming from Vegas.. I dont care if I have to spend the whole day on the bus, i dont want to pay the shipping!



I spent 10 more min trying to hang up on this guy as he keeps asking me to google it for him.. wanting me to forward him to a supervisor..
