Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean it's overrated. You probably think track driving is overrated to and will post the same thing for them. Modifying your car, that's overrated as well, better post it for them too. Cars in general are overrated, so you should go on every car forum you can find, and post this intelligent point that you have made.

Okay WTF is this shit?
Seriously... there is no point to this post, it might as well just say: Tomatoes suck! or College people are stupid! or 240sx's lick Fumunda! Stupid and pointless. If you don't like drifting/drifters, fine. Free country, etc etc etc, but making retarded posts like this just makes you look like more of an ass. You most likely haven't even met and actual drifters; do you have a basis for this arbitrary hate? or are you just another bandwagon jumper trying to make yourself look cool (failing btw) and feeding your inferiority complex? Jesus. There's so much projected in your little post it's really amusing. Seriously, don't be an idiot. If you're going to post, try to make it something of substance that CONTRIBUTES to the group as a whole, rather than just spewing broad asinine statements. |

Sure are lots of haters on this board. More than I remember, anyway. At least a few people found the point to the post (which was for humor's sake). As for hating on drifting, I don't. I picked a topic that would get attention, and the history of Zilvia shows umpteen thousand drifting / curb humping threads. Drifting IS overrated. I like to drift, and I can do it beter than alot of people. On that same note, however, I'll be the first to say that I don't think I'm very good at it - especially not when compared to professional drivers who drift. Drifting is overrated because it looks cool and it's becoming a fad. Why would a knockoff bodykit company sell 'Drift kit' front bumpers for fucking pickup trucks? Don't take a little joke that made you feel a tiny bit stupid for half a second so personally that you flame me because you think I'm attacking you. Have a damn sense of humor! |

So your post made me feel stupid? That's news to me. We all might be dumber by reading it, but it certainly didn't make me FEEL stupid. Funny that you singled me out though when nothing that I said flamed you. Was I being extremely sarcastic, yes.
I don't think anyone got the point of your post, we all found it pretty pointless and stupid. Sorry. |

IF you really did mean your post as a humorous joke (which i have my doubts, but anyway...) why didn't u at least put some smilies of some sort by it?
Having the link and a: would've made it clear you weren't trying to bash anyone, but as it stands there was really no explanation... just the fact that you said drifters were idiots. I'm far from considering myself one, but I give credit where credit is due, the pro guys have skill and in the event they're on the street and in an accident, they'll know best how to handle the situation. Controlling something that's going out of control takes skill, period. But i'm off on a tangent. Say what you mean. if it was meant as a joke, indicate that it IS such or be ready to be flamed. All this aside, there still was no point to it... just got people riled up. DrDubbleB: I'm pretty sure that should've been aimed at me, not u. |

I think I'm more upset at the bad grammar... it's supposed to be "...an Idiot" not "... A Idiot." Come on now.

damn... Must be someone's time of the month around here..
Don't blame the poor grammar on me.. I just hijacked the link and posted it. >DrDubbleB >So your post made me feel stupid? That's news to me. We >all might be dumber by reading it, but it certainly didn't >make me FEEL stupid. Funny that you singled me out >though when nothing that I said flamed you. Was I being >extremely sarcastic, yes. Come on! You're taking shit personally again! I was directing it at all the haters! I'm not saying YOU felt stupid. I have no idea what you thought, as I can't read minds, HOWEVER, it's common instinct to feel violated when someone/thing calls you an idiot and you realize you've been tricked! Just because I quoted your post doesn't mean I was speaking just to you.. I couldn't find a good way to quote Yoshi's post, and I didn't feel like posting twice on the same response. >Yoshi >IF you really did mean your post as a humorous joke >(which i have my doubts, but anyway...) why didn't u at >least put some smilies of some sort by it? I mentioned drifting TO GET ATTENTION. I could have just as easily said it was a a link to porn or free SR20s. I chose drifting because it's a popular topic! >Say what you mean. No. >if it was meant as a joke, indicate that it IS such or be >ready to be flamed. On a side note, apologies for all of my swearing. I swear alot IRL, and I emphasize my statements with it. I'm not swearing because I'm angry or whatever. This thread has actually been VERY entertaining.

Well, it seems clear to me that trying to bring a smile to someone other than me is not worth my time & effort, and I'm ok with that.
Yosh: About the drifter thing.. you say nobody here claims to be a drifter, but look at how many people jumped on me because they thought I was calling drifting stupid. And as far as mousing over: would you have still clicked it seeing what the link WAS instead of 'driftcity.net'? Be honest. BEISSEN: I'm talking about japanese drifters, primarily. I seriously doubt Jeff Gordon or Michael Andretti drift. Also, where did I say I drift on the street? I haven't drifted on the street (intentionally) for well over a year. I grew up a little and decided I'd rather risk only myself and my car while on a track. Also, could you enlighten me as to how my post is 'so stupid, and HOW, exactly, I 'screwed myself over'. Admitting ones shortcomings is not a dishonorable thing. Would you prefer I came on here and bragged about what a great drifter I am? I think not. I can drift, but not as great as some. I enjoy the ability to control my car, especially at high speeds. |
