s13 silvia stock suspension rubbing on tire? (pic)

So I just bought this 1990 rhd silvia, and I noticed that the passenger side suspension is literally sitting right above the tire- if not on the tire.

The tires on these wheels are new, and they are starting to get a worn area because of the rubbing.

Is this a sign that the springs are bad? I dont think a bad shock would cause this?

On the other side there is no rubbing, and the clearance is about 2 centimeters from tire to suspension.

spings has nothing to do with that, Thats what happens when you put on aftermarket rims with giant bubble tires on stock suspension.

Coil overs or lower Profile tires will fix that, (Or some 25mil Spacers)

are they really that big? I mean, I didn't put them on the car- I bought it like that.

They are nissan rims with the center caps off, and 205/65/215's

fair enough, I will try to find some spacers for the time being.

Thanks

After seeing this thread and the other one you made it seems like you got fucked with no lube. You ever buy a used car before?

s13

if wear is on the inside corner of the tire it may be chassis rub not coilover interference i had same problem theres a ridge that sticks out ftom the back of the wheel well by the hard brake lines. if it rubs yer tire pound it back flat with a hammer
