All new parts and paint on anything that was damaged. Medical bills. Pain and suffering. Attorney fees. Lost wages. Punitive damages. Everything.

If you want to play fair, you ask for slightly more than what you think is fair and let the other party and/or judge negotiate the amount down. I you want to be a jerk then ask for much more than what you think you deserve.

happened to my sister.
she was turning at a light, guy didn't see her and just ran the yellow.
she got whiplash.
didn't say anything.
but still went to the hospital the next day because of a headache and neck pains.
right now she goes to a chiropractor once a week for it.
all she has is a lil pain and she's gona get about 4k outta it.


u can actually get a lot of money outta pain and suffering and car accidents.

-ps. the 4k is on top of him paying for EVERYTHING. hospital bills, chiropractor. car damage.-

its happened to my car at least 5 times since 03. fukn jersey drivers. i always let them go. paint on the bumper is kind of messed up anyway.

on the other hand, happened to my gf and she let the old lady go. when we were fixing her car we found out bumper was ok BUT it cracked the chassis.

the fact that the rear bumper shifted in on the right side about a 1/4 of an inch and the left shifted out about a 1/4 of an inch, its tweaked, if all it takes is 50 bucks to fix so be it, gimme 50 were straight, if its more, all im asking for is repair cost, and if it takes mroe than a day car rental cost, i go to 2 schools and work in downtown, tight schedule...not fun

i did the same thing twice...the first time was kinda dumb and funny..

first one was at disneyland with my ex girlfriend, we are in the parking structure and just got passed the booth where you get the parking passes. right after the booth, the guy in front of us stops while going right (following the cones). so i stop and im kinda like (wtf?). he then starts to reverse...i sit there like (uh wtf where is he going he gunna hit me) and then he just smashes into me like a bitch and gets out of his car and was like "where do i go??????" i told him to follow the cones ahead. he then just said (theres not really any damage to either of our cars) even though he scratched my front bumper pretty good. that was on my cressida. we then just went our ways.

second time a honda civic was leaving a gas station, and i was behind him he was gunna turn right but then decided to reverse. hits me of course and then gets out of the car, he looked worried. looked like he was 20 and hispanic and asked if everything was cool, i told him not to worry about it. and we left.

the 3rd time i got hit by a old guy pulled out in front of me tried to blame it on me "speeding" when i was slowing down for a red light. turned out to be his fault and i used the 2k to get my sr20 and bondoed my fender

I work for an insurance company, I say you get what you can from his insurance. Call your insurance and let them know what happened. They will tell you what to do from there. Definitely go get checked out. You will get money for your injuries and for you car. This isnt about being a dick, this is about getting a bit of cash off these insurance companies that continue to rape us all with their rates. Do it.

well results for today...i woke up a lil bit more sore and decided to go get checkd out...

from the doctors prognossess, he said i might hve re injured my already surgecaly repaired shoulder cuff...they gave me a shot for the pain and prescribed 600mg of motrin and also suggested (on paper) to go to an orthapedic doctor and get my shoulder throughly checked out...

Car accidents can have serious delibating effect that won't become apparent immediately. People have been known to walk away but keel over the next day because of internal injuries.

Don't try to be superman. Get everything cleared before you start up again.

While I agree that people shouldn't get greedy, the system is set up to prevent frivolous lawsuits. Most judges won't let that kind of decision go through. Only a small percentage gets through to the media, but you have to be there for the entire trial to understand what happened.

Generally in civil litigation, you don't have to hit a homerun to win; you just have to outplay the other team slightly. Even if you came out with the most ridiculous argument ever heard, but the other side comes out drooling, you still win because the other side did not do a good job countering your argument.


I think it's like how normal people romanticise/mystify/glorify/whatever violence when it's just another day at the office for pro fighters. Same thing. Normal people think the law is something used to take advantage of poor people, whereas for attorneys it's just another day at the office.

Well I would of gotten a police report, just for insurance purposes, I don't know how worried you are about your car or your health but a police report will state who's at fault and what not just in case of a claim. You can't always be too nice.
