My cat took a sh*t
ok since this zilvia i already know all my questions have been answerd but since i dont know the answer.....here goes
so my cat took a shit ive herd hollowing it out might be better (WRONG creates more exhaust pressure than before) and a test pipe is great for the track but not for daily driver.. so what is a good cat for a ka24de (S14) thanx -KB |

totally opened this thread to post and let you know that cats take shits quite frequently. Then i realized that you were talking about the non feline type haha.
Plenty of people should just have their OEM laying around. I'm sure if you look around in the FS section you'll be able to find one for cheap |

Wow.. i thought that the cats are hollow on the s14.. I thought that they were just a dummy cat and that the part connect to your header/downpipe is where the cat really is located? Im just wondering now because i took off my cat and it was hollow and i have passed smog in CA for 3 straight years easily..

To the OP: Gut it out and call it a day. If your muffler is worth a damn it will stay nice and stock quiet. I added my 4-1 hotshot header (replaces the OEM converter) and I heard no difference. And my cat just took a shit in the litter box next to me....bastard NEVER COVERS THEM UP!!! Like it's saying "LOOK WHAT I DID AND ENJOY THE AROMA!!!!" |

or you can get one off ebay. Catco makes a direct replacement for the S14 cat.
you can search for "Nissan 240sx S14 1995 - 1998 Front Catalytic Converter" it's only 100 bucks + shipping they also sell the rear one, but I don't think you need it.. you can just use your old one. |

who has a dyno sheet to prove you lose power? is it with a stock exhaust or aftermarket. i made 3 whp back in the late 90's on a stock motor/stock exhaust just by gutting the cat. maybe mine was a fluke.
