Rear end lights

So my problem is that the night running lights in the rear aren't running but the brakes are I checked fuses light bulbs could I be the switch on the column and if so how would you go about replacing it

Check continuity at the switch and if it's bad replace it.

You unscrew the shroud around the column, unscrew the turn signal/headlight switch, disconnect the connector... and put the new one in the same way you got the old out; but in reverse

Whoa whoa whoa!
Did we eliminate anything? looking at the bulbs isn't a verification. Are any of the other running light circuits functioning? side markers, dash illumination? If they don't work go ahead but damn just ripping shit apart wouldn't be my third step, XD!
