Sorry for not keeping this updated, this is over the past 3 months
Purchased all the stock suspension pieces for the car so I can get it rolling around also bought the front drilled and slotted rotors but can't put it on till I can locate the front hubs which for some reason is super difficult to find. I need to figure out where to buy new 4lug hubs or I'm going to have to settle for used ones from the yard Got the passenger front and rear done now on to the driver side __________________________________________________ _______________ So decided on starting a tube front chassis going to leave some of the stock points nut reinforce all around for some extra strength got one bar welded in, hoping to get a couple more done next week and also start adding sheet metal into the bed and reinforcing that to this will be the chapter of welding  gotta grind down to sorta flow with the tube and the black is just rust stop.paint Forget that crappy core support decided to go ahead and cut everything out and mimic what dai yoshihara has on his 13 Went ahead and cut everything out Then I used some extra cage tubing and mocked up the tube front Now Im finishing welding it up and then ill put it on the 240 shot of the accord :salook: Got the bottom bars in now just need to add the last two and its good finished the front and painted, still had to finish welding on one part but I live in florida and rust is a serious problem I finally Got a couple susp. parts in I got some RUCAS that I sprayed purple The color that ill be using to make some parts flashy  You can also see that i finally installed some coils, some DGR Track Coilovers to be exact got them for 600$ the guy got them for 1400$ so I got a pretty decent deal pictures of it lowered Itll drop alot more in the front once the motor is in, I have the coils in the rear adjusted higher up to match the front for now Finished the dash besides one gauge and I need to put the wide band under the radio |

So a little update from me I stripped down the truck so I can transfer everything over to the hatch didn't take the Subframes off yet in this pic, The hatch was so mint when I got it it would have been stupid to make it a parts car but don't look at the pictures of it since I had already dropped it's Subframe for the swap o and the car in the middle was a coupe used for a parts car, but just sold it and still made a 150$ profit on the 1jz side I painted the intake mani the wrinkle black, and I also bought my chase bays harness. Suckers go for 850$ new, got mine BNIB for 535$ I traded my rear sump oil pan for a front sump one and got it all bolted up and ill be going to the junkard to find the other misc. parts that ill need to get this thing going.. But this weekend I swapped all the subframes and suspension parts over to the hatch and ill start gutting the interior next weekend. Heres a few pics of it with out the front fenders or the front bumper Got the new hatch to my house Then got the front aligned Thats all until the next update Thanks for reading guys.. |

Hello Zilvia,
sorry I haven't updated this thread much I've recently been working on my bay I'll be showing a before and after pick when it's done I got my dash installed but I'm going to make a new center cluster so that'll be changing soon and I also got my fuel lines ran and the fuel cell in the car I'll update with finished photos this weekend forgot to take photos last weekend I've also found a really awesome individual who does a lot of cages and is going to hook me up with a FD legal cage ill show the CAD outline of it so that's what it'll look like but I'll be adding in 2 extra bars so onto the pictures I cut the nostrils out of the pignose and will be making a few more cuts, it's just for airflow until I can purchase my kit I've also ran the fuel lines up the left frame rail and centered the cell directly in the middle. Also got some Isis rear toe arms from my friend Brett. I'll have to update with the finished pictures but this is an idea of what it looks like now I also got the bolts for the coil pack cover and added some finishing washers And my girl friend recently got a coupe and we've been putting in work on that also put on: New door panels new radio and speakers new center council re did the wheels back to silver (were black) Painted the valve cover New power mirror switch (other one was stuck) Broadway mirror Stillen High Flow 5in filter tunnel adaptor with a K&N filter (combo goes for 100+, got for 3$ at junkyard :laugh She will be swapping in a dual cam KA possibly turboing it, repaint Putting coils on it and some nicer wheels and just keep it as a good daily pictures only two though Thanks for reading Last edited by cchondro; 12-31-2012 at 12:55 PM.. |

So just trying to get through some small stuff before January when I send it off for the cage
Ive been looking for a color for the bay since ive already decided the color I want to paint the car itself. I wont be painting the car until I buy the kit, but the bay needs to e painted before the motor goes in I think Ive decided on a Black Base Coat, with a Metallic Purple Pearl to give it a really rich purple that will tie into small things throughout the car and the 1j's valve cover The car itself will be painted with Nissan's Magnetic Black but ill be adding in a faint Purple Metallic. The wheels are already painted Dodge cool Vanilla with a Purple Pearl so hopefully it'll all look good together I got the finished fuel cell pictures The inside of the car will also be hit with the Magnetic Black Paint Im not sure if I want the cage to be White or Purple to match the bay?? but I also found the DOHC female body harness plug so I wired that in I also decided to re-do the dash inserts I just wasnt happy with the look of the metal and the whole layout of everything I got the top done this weekend using ABS Plastic and ill be tackling the bottom section next weekend It looks a bit crooked in this picture. One of the brackets bent so im going to pick up another during the week. Thanks for viewing! will update next weekend |

SO to update I finished my lower center piece
I started with a 12"by 12" piece of ABS plastic and got to cutting and shaving Here is my first attempt of getting it to fit So I started shaving some more with my file and got it to where it was a snug fit Straightened out all the lines so they were all nice and even and bam it was in. I then figured out where I was going to drill the holes to mount and got the bottom two in first....... .......and then continued by getting the top corners bolted in. After I got that all situated out I drew out the layout I wanted to have and started to drill out the holes Got the switches lined up and made sure I had room for an extra switch just in case Then cut the rest of the holes out for the gauges, battery kill, and push start. I then bolted it back into the dash and put the dash back into the car I aslo got a fire extinguisher w/ bracket for christmas so I bolted that up to. I got this idea from another user on here but decided to put my own spin on it, I got an Aluminum Bud light beer bottle and decided im going to use that for my coolant overflow tank. I started to sand it down and then threw some polish on it. I put some blue electrical tape on the top which is where ill make a bracket to wrap around it and use that to bolt onto the car somewhere The lady got my some new tails for christmas so ill be able to slam into some walls with style! _______________________________________ Now for a little update on the coupe, Its pretty funny but I got her the same tail lights but for the coupe I also got her some mirrors I bought from a user on here and refinished them since hers were beat up and the passenger side wouldnt fold in. The glass is perfect surprisingly......... got the daily in the background. I really want to trade it in for a truck but you cant beat those gas miles. I also got here some seat belts off of a member here and got to installing and trimming. Im very happy with the outcome and they look great and function properly.
