Rear brake calliper refurb
Morning all
I?m after a bit of advice. I?m starting to get sticky rear brakes and thinking about buying a refurb kit with new brake pistons etc I?m aware that Silvia S13 (PS13) have very similar rear breaks to S14?s, I think the only difference is the hand brake mech. Does anyone know if a S14 rear calliper refurb kit will fit my PS13 brakes? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Im with you man as I think z32 rears are to heavy, complicated and expensive comparing to simple z31/Altima or GKtech big rotor upgrade with Silvia or s14 calipers.
I also prefer to rebuild parts myself rather than returning them for replacement because of shitty job they do at refurb places. Last time I had to return my calipers because they used two different pistons, one of them was old and corroded. Basically you don't get your own rebuild parts, they give you next from the shelf rebuilt already pair. Its about saving time, money and most important frustrations. Rebuilding calipers is not difficult at all. |

Is the refurb kit pistons, seals and snap rings?
If it's just the piston, then it's not too difficult. If it involves the pistons and all the seals +snap rings, then I would consider buying a rebuilt rear caliber. Last edited by zer0c123; 06-20-2020 at 01:50 PM.. Reason: forgot stuff |
