I'm looking for a new steering wheel - whether it be aftermark or off an old 240 remains to be seen.
The problem with MOMO wheels is that they either have no buttons or are ugly as ####. I want something that is black and/or gray; that's it. I've seen nice ones, but they never have buttons. The ones that do are generally all f'd up with ugly colored crap. Now, I know that MOMO knows that a lot of people think flashy colors make their car nicer, but I'm not one of those people, and therefore apparently outside of MOMO's demographic. That said, does anyone know where I can get a wheel with at least two buttons on it that doesn't look like it belongs on a video game? Thanks for any help. |

At one point I owned this Momo Millenium Steering Wheel for my s13, but I got my s14 before I put it on and ended up selling it since I wanted to retain my airbags. But IMHO this is the nicest steering wheel out there. But Kyle plans to buy this again someday so dont everyone run out and get it or it will kill the uniqueness.

The buttons are for (or would be for), as someone guessed, cruise control. I figure I need at least two for cruise set and coast. The cancel button isn't needed because the brake pedal accomplishes that. If I had more than one button, I would use it (them) for the horn.
Thanks for the help. |

I am pleased to announce that, unlike last week, this week there was an auction on eBay for the exact steering wheel I was looking for. $45 dollars later, it should be on it's way to me right now.
Can't wait to use cruise control and honk and people again. =) That Momo wheel above, btw, was definately beautiful - but, unfortunately, over two hundred MORE dollars than I just spent. For that kind of cash, I'd rather make the car actually steer better. But thank you nonetheless - glad to see they make something so nice. |

I want the Momo Jet (Black)...more than likely you need the Hub Adaptor correct? No buttons that I see of, so that is a loss, but for $282, it should come with horn, cruise control and cruise setting, and every other option that there is available. my dad has a radio volume controller on his 86 300 ZX turbo...pretty spiffy I must say. comes in handy a lot. but yeah, the Jet is a slick piece of circle!!

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this already, but there is a scene in the movie "the Fast and the Furious" where the big guy actually uses the buttons for NOS, so... yeah, that's all . He actually hid his in the passenger seat but the buttons themselves were located on the steering wheel, I believe. I may be wrong. But it was the chick with the dope 240 that actually used them for NOS. Dope, huh?

yeah everyone in the movie used the buttons for NOS. It was one big commercial. "Nos fixes everything"
i'd like to have a nice leather steering wheel but i'm not giving up my cruise contro or airbag. i'll just have to snag an LE model wheel somewhere. |

I'm sooooooo glad I never saw that movie. A bunch of ricers driving around in their cars
Yah, I'm biased, but acceptance is the first step in becoming more biased :-) |

if i was to find a leather wrapped 95-98 steering wheel for the 240 in a junkyard or something,,, is it possible to get it fixed?.. if the airbag is deployed.. how do you go about doing osmehting like that... also,, how much would it cost from nissan themselves?.. just a thought.

Misnomer... A bunch of ricers?? Granted the movie was bad with the nos and everything, but I don't think you can call a person with an 80 thousand dollar supra a ricer.

An 80 thousand dollar Supra, with pastel paintjob AND decals... that's not rice... that's an entire ricepaddy!!!
Anyway, here's the steeringwheel that I had on my previous car. Momo Fighter. I still have it, but not on the S14, since I have airbags.

Momo Fighter
(Edited by teamcapsule at 11:17 am on Sep. 3, 2001) |

To respond to a question asked awhile ago, I got a stock Nissan wheel. It looks exactly like the original, and with a bit of armor-all, looks about as clean as one too. Ironically, I -just- had it put on, and havn't tested cruise yet, only the horn.
It looks and feels great though. And I stand by my previous comment that Momo needs to make more wheels with buttons on them. For NOS, cruise, horns, the stereo, or even the f'n blinkers - I don't care - they just need buttons. |
