Will this work as an oil cooler?
I was just wondering about something. Ive got an automatic radiator in my car so its got the cooler lines for the auto tranny. Is it possible to run the oil through the tranny cooler lines in the radiator to act as an oil cooler?
Only issues I can think of off hand is maybe viscosity would be different. I dont really want to try to hook it up and fuck my motor. Its more of a hypothetical question I guess, Ill have a new radiator before too long anyway.

No. The cooler in the radiator is very shallow and thin, it doesn't leave a lot of room for proper flow since oil at any grade is a higher viscosity than ATF. Secondly the inlet/outlet aren't big enough, you'd need to put larger hose barbs on and run bigger hoses to them. Lastly the oil is under more pressure than the transmission fluid, regular hose clamps would leak like hell.

Agreed. It's running ATF anyway, ditch the cooling loop and run it straight in from the reservoir and rack.
