Removing S14 Axles

Just a off the wall kinda question. Im trying to replace my right side axle I removed the axle nut and all the other bolts holding it too the diff. The axle is free but I can't seem to manuever it so it will slide out its always gotta hit something. the subframe the diff pumpkin, etc etc just what ever is possible to hit. I was wondering if theres anything you guys useually take out also when removing axles. I was trying to be lazy cause I was already frustrated with my car but I seem to be achieving nothing with that

Push it up and over the diff, towards the front end. It will come out, just maneuver it a bit.

^no need.... as project said move it around... push the axle together to give it room. It's easier to do on the diff side than the nut side.

You can aid the removal by taking a rubber mallet and smacking the shaft at the hub towards the center of the car.
