Exhaust Clearence WITH PICS!!!

Well here is my dilemma, I installed a 3' brm exhaust and the clearance is really horrible I've had it on for two days now and been avoiding knows spots where it scrapes.

Now i dont know if there is any solution to fix this problem, could i possibly put in a flex pipe before the down pipe and weld some sort of brace to hold it up, is this possible? Please help me if you've had this problem or know a way to raise my exhaust as there is still at least around 1.5 to 2' room to raise it.

BTW I have 16' wheels and megan coilovers and would like to drop it some more as there is still a 1' gap from the fender to the wheel.

You could put worm clamps around the hangers it will tuck it up to the body alittle more.

Wow it looks like it sags by the diff? Maybe you're missing a hanger. If not look into some shorter hangers to bring the exhaust higher.

Yea, what he said. I did that, you can adjust it by just tightening or loosening the clamp. I used an old intake clamp.

Do you mean the muffler hangers because my muffler is pretty tight to the bumper, there is one more hanger in the middle right before the exhaust, a foot after the down pipe.

Now would it be a bad idea to hang the the exhaust from the sway bar and tighten it, there is like 2' or so of a gap....

If I remember correctly, there are 3 hangers.

One attached to the tranny mount, one near the front of the driver side rear wheel and one closer to the bumper.

I cut the hangers on the rear mount and re-welded them higher so its tucked closer to the bumper. i also had to cut off the tow hitch. and i cut the mount in the middle flipped it and re-welded it. i had to hammer the chassis in around the seat area cause it was rubbing and i made a solid mount in the middle but it only worked when i ran the nismo mounts cause it broke the solid mount when i had the stock mounts. but i dont bottom out on anything now its rad!!!
hope that helped u a little bit
check it

I cut the tow hook off. And then I got a custom made exhaust, with custom length brackets..... no scrapes anywere.

I would Look at getting new rubber hangers as a start. And then shortening the metal hangers.
