Thats a pretty nice. The 1jz is one of few 6 cylinder engines I would put in my car.
Of course, you realize that you need the jzx81 front end on the s13 now. You'll be monumentally laaame if you dont swap the front end. |

its been a long tough road...but im loving working on the car...the car was starte then dies...lost ignition...couldnt figure out why......turrned out when i swapped the water pump and all i managed t pinch the crank angle sensor and shorted the wires.....finally tracked it down and got it started agian to realize the stock twin turbos were bad.......swapped those....got it started agian...now need to finish wiring...get the custom exahust made......get intercooler piping made.....and bleed the clutch line...thats beeen a pin in my ass for something that should be so easy...
hoping to get it driving by jan.... ill post some newer pics tommorrow... Jeff

Project looks good Jeff. I'm shure you will enjoy the 1Jz as it is a bit more rev happy than the 2Jz. Has good 6cylinder torque as well. Hope to see it running by January.

clips and all parts were sold a long time ago...sorry.....
as for ems i have a stock ecu with a chipped board from japan....which i dont know for sure yet but 99% of those boards remove the boost cut, fuel cut, speeed limiter and turn up boost and fuel a lil bit... with that ecu and an afc i should be able to easily meet my power goals.......i dont want to go stand alone but if i have to i will.....need to get it running solid with the current set up 1st

well look at this thread, look at the later light blue pics with the triple projectors, look at the pic of the oil pan on his install, then match that pic to the oil pan of the 1JZ in that same colored car upside down in the article.
question: How many dual projector with yellow fog lights light blue 1JZ S13s are there out there? educated guess: 1 to veary veary few. |
