s13 Easy z32 brake conversion????

What would be the easiest and least expensive way to do my Z32 brake conversion? i got a set of Z32 calipers and pads for $50 and got my z32 brembo rotors, other then the 5 lug hub (waiting to find a s14 or z32 to pull them off of) what all else do i absolutly have to have to do my conversion???

either Ichiban, OEM or some other brand 5 lug hubs (sometimes they're on ebay for about 120 shipped) , 15/16 Z31 BMC, the z31 BMC will work with out any modification and works great if you are only doing the fronts, they run about $45 after core return. DO NOT FORGET to bench bleed the new BMC before install. if you have the calipers with the OEM lines then use them they will work.

Spindle and ball joint if you're gonna do the front S14. And Z32 e-brake if you're gonna do Z32 rear hubs.

Seems like you got it. It's a lot of time consuming work by the way.

Cheapest route would have been letting me snag those calipers from the junkyard rather than you

cheap - redrill your brembo rotors to mate to your 4 lug hubs. Get fittings made for the stock brake lines to mate to the z32 calipers (or just use the z32 stock lines) so you don't need conversion lines.

Z3x BMC, 5 lug hubs, Stainless conversion lines are all just recomendations (good ones) not needed tho. You will have a pretty soft/mushy pedal feel with stock lines and MC, but gotta make sacrifices when your ballin on a budget.

Why would the lines matter, i can see how the BMC would, but lines. I'm just curious not saying you're wrong.

i ran my front z32 conversion w/o the braided steel lines and hardly noticed any difference in stopping power. then i upgraded to the braided steel lines in the front and rear and holy crap! that was one of the most noticable upgrades ive ever made to my car, and i've done a ton to it. basically, if you have the 20 yr old rubber lines, they expand every time you push the pedal, and actually take stopping power away from your brake system, making you have to press the pedal harder to get the same amount of stopping power. also, running the stock lines is unsafe since the z32 brakes don't have a banjo fitting like the stock brakes do, and the brake lines can easily loosen themselves.

Need a lil info as we'll!!!

I'm going to be upgrading to the z32 brakes.. And I will be ordering parts by MAX PRO coil's.. I've been talking to a guy name Dave from there company and he told me if I run the 300z 5 lug swap I'll have to get different lower mounts to mount there coils.. So what I want to know is can I run the s14 5 lug swap and still run my z32 brakes?

Thanks for bumping a 2+ yr old thread. I know your from the state of FAIL but do you not know how to search? I mean GOOGLE is really helpful for noobs. If you looked down 3 posts after the original there is a LINK that will answer your questions about the Z32 brake swap. Why don't you spend some time reading just a bit and just MAYBE you can answer your own question.

Here I will help you out a lil bit and repost the link if for some reason you are unable to find it. http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm#5-lug

Also if you wanted real answers why don't you post what year and model car you have? Are we like supposed to know that you have this year car and this model? Should we all assume you have a 1987 honda cr-x and your trying to install z32 brakes on there?

I really don't get how these pages are online to help people out but as soon as sum1 ask a question people act like punks.... if I'm on a 240sx forum then I would just assume the person has a 240... But it's cool thanks anyways

Your FIRST problem was that you ASSUMED. How do we know what car you have? Is it a S13 or S14? OH wait we are supposed to ASSUME you have one of those 2 cars? How are we supposed to give you the correct information when you didn't even go the distance to explain what chassis your working with? FYI the parts for a S14 5-lug swap differ slightly from a s13. Clearly when you posted on this thread you did not bother to read anything. Your answer was right in front of you.
