it sounds like it's scraping probably shaft play rubbing the sides.

It's sounds like a "bell",so the "shaft play" is causing that? It makes sense, now that u say that,I can picture the spinning blade,N it's barely scraping, thus making that "bell noise". Thank you! Ima have to wait till traffic dies and putt it home.......

pop off your intake tube, and unbolt the compressor inlet elbow.

with those removed, you can grab the compressor wheel & wiggle it around to check for play

I forgot about this, but it was also sputtering,no black smoke or any for that matter. And this is all today,it's never hesitated or sputtered before....

I had a 2871 sound similar before and it turned out that the actuator was loose. See if you can wiggle it by hand, if you can you may need to add some tension to it

I only have so much time today, but I managed to get under the car, while running on ramps, and I noticed the heat shield for the turbo elbow was vibrating, making a "bell" noise! But I didn't have time to take it off and see if the sound goes away. I left it on the ramps,I also heard a metal on metal sound yesterday, besides the odd " ringing" sound. It never made the "metal on metal" noise again, but I don't want to risk it. I'll figure it out, video it and post it this week if I'm lucky
