wow, I can understand a reboot if it's been decades since the original or the first one sucked..but I don't see this being a good thing. The first movie was the best and as noted by others, the third was the worse.
I will only be a fan of this if they make him "darker"...similar to the Batman reboot. Quote:
Ever since Superbad and Juno, I can never take him seriously.

i was way stoked when i heard on NPR that tobey maguire and kiersten dunst were not going to be in the next movie. i've ALWAYS thought that they were terribly mis-cast. he never appears to have a spine, even when angry, and she looks like a cabbage patch doll whose head has been sat on. hardly the smokin hot redhead from the comic.
but then when i heard that raimi left the franchise as well i lost all hope. now it'll be like hannibal rising. the only things i enjoyed about the whole trilogy so far were: - that the villains were well cast (with the exception of the dude who plays sandman, he's mediocre). alfred molina and willem dafoe are fantastic. - every now and then you'd get a shot or two that are pure old-raimi style. there is at least one shot when spidey is battling the dafoe green goblin and gets nailed by a grenade and gets thrown in a backwards flip. kinda slow-mo. classic. off topic- drag me to hell was rad. super cheesy, more funny than scary. i loved it. |
