car wont stay alive and lost alot of power

I swear this car and I are in an abusive relationship, I have yet another problem:

We had just gotten my car running again and modified the Map on my powerfc to not run super rich till i get my car fully tuned. The car ran rough but was driveable, again due to the map. Everything seemed fine but when I was driving home I got on the highway and got up to about 4th gear when all of sudden I could hear the motor winding down like it was losing crazy power. I kept having to downshift it to keep up with it winding down. I got all the way to 2nd second and was flooring it but it was barely moving. Then the motor decided to just stop quickly on the highway trying to go up a bridge. I immediatly kept trying to restart it to try and pull over but it would start and then within a 2 sec it would kill itself. So i had to keep punching it for that 2 sec to get it to lunge enough to get off the highway. I got it home but it was so late at night I havent had a chance to look at it yet, more than an initial quick glance in the dark.

Does anyone have any idea what may have gone wrong? Or know what I should check or where to start? A friend of mine said the Map may still be running too rich and flooded the motor, does this sound right?

BTW: I have an s13 blacktop, w/ powerfc

if the motor is flooded its real easy to tell. check your oil for gasoline contamination.

The mystery problem was being caused by a leak in the intercooler piping. The cap I used to cover the factory BOV tube had popped off and this air leak was preventing my car from staying alive.

Thanks again to everyone that helped.
