RB psi

Alright here is the deal i just did the rb swap ago stock parts series 2 motor with no boost controller. I recirculated the wastegate into the hot pipe. My psi reads 13.5. Now here is the the question. Is there a anyway to dual that down to 10 without a boost controller?

That's an excellent set up man wastegate exhausts into the intercooler system, UNLESS you're referring to the bov as a wastegate which in a sense is the same thing as a "wastegate" or "dump valve" since it is expelling a fluid (air/exhaust gases as working fluid in this case). You would need a boost controller to turn the pressure down to your specs, as the purpose of the device is to regulate amount of exhaust gases entering the turbine to sustain turbine speed.

wat.

You need to explain better.

Your pressure should not be that high with stock components. You should be at 7psi.

I think he means he's connecting the wastegate actuator to the hot pipe (which is correct).

You need to adjust the length of the wastegate actuator arm (metal rod connecting wastegate to the actuator). By making it longer it will decrease the "base boost". Adjust this till you get 7psi, then install a boost controller and adjust to your target boost level

It's not adjustable on a stock RB25. OP, do you have a T or small diameter hose coming from your hotpipe to the wastegate actuator?

EDIT: I just realized I have no idea what RB motor OP is running. RB20 is like 11psi if I recall.

hmmm i forgot it's not adjustable.

I have seen people put washers/shims on the WGA mounting bolts to raise the base boost. make sure this is not the case here

Yeah it is not adjustable and there are no added shims and no T just straight from the wastegate actuator to the hot pipe.
