s14 Roof Crushed by snow

I just got back from my vacation in Florida and found my S14's roof is crushed in by about 3"+ across the whole of the roof skin. Has anyone else up in the cold states had this happened? I do not think anything landed on it because it would have left other damage. I will post pics in the morning.

Damn, that sucks. Never even heard of that happening. I had about 3 feet of snow with no problems on my S13.

That sucks, hope your insurance covers it... I would go old school hot rod, chop the top and install a new one with those three inches out... I know that would be a ton of custom glass work but cool as shit....

3"???? Theres NO way 3 inchs could dent your roof. I''ve had ice stacked on snow stacked on more snow on my car before and never had had anything close to that happen.

I'd look into it further (something fell on it, kids fucking around, animals, Ect..?)

His roof is caved in about 3 inches not from.

OP - is there any visible creases ? If no, you might be able to just pop it out from the inside.

was it parked in the street?

maybe someone was towing a friend on a snowboard, and during their street shralping the towiee may have popped a little 270 back lip on your car.

In turn causing your roof to cave 3 inches.

just a thought,

Ouch

god thats some heavy snow if it did that much damage.
our snow here in utah would never do that and we get just as much.
it looks like something alot heavier or intentional did that.

-I've had roof damage on my Volvo 240 sedan ( my friends and I sitting on it when we go camping). Once a year i just pull the headliner and rubber mallet it out. Usually just "POPs" its way back out.

-My S14 though...only ever gotten one dent from a beer bottle from 4 stories up...drunk kids .

-Ummm sooooo Goodluck i guess is my advice? Pull headliner and rubber mallet that bitch, and then maybe buy one for those $2,000 collapsable garages?? hahah

I really doubt that snow did it. A consistent weight like that wouldn't of made those types of kinks in the metal. I'm sensing some foul play (not on your part, but I'd be pretty shocked if snow did that, unless it did indeed fall from the roof.

Take out the head liner, and snap some pics of the center support section for the roof, also check the corners for strike marks (like if someone hit it with something)

Courtesy Nissan does sell replacement roof skins if you're up to the task (these cars are actually pretty easy to take apart [correctly] All adhesive and spot welds.

i really don't think you have a chance banging that back to where it was before. you could try, but the metal may have flexed or stretched a little, and fucked it all up. possibly try to find a way to get money out of it. and it that just paint that's peeled up there? it looks really thick.

be a bad ass and chop the top and section the body. Make it like that one japanese s15 that did that. It would look cool with a kouki front and some aggressive aero.
