Technically, I could've voted never b/c I don't redline simply b/c it's pointless when power peaks at 5800rpm. But I voted "a few times a week" for shifting at 6000-6500.

I don't really "redline" per say, but I usually shift between 6 and 65 grand on a daily basis.

like the others stated...it's pretty much useless to redline...and very bad on the KA. highest I try to take it is 6500.....and I'm really thinking I should be shifting right over 6-6200.

oh BTW guidot...just wanted to throw out....the CA and RB rev high. so I'm thinking the redline might actually be good...although, I'm talking out my ass and have never seen a dyno chart of a CA or RB...I just know they rev high...and people who've driven, ridden say the power band goes up there.(of course, still better then a honda) just kidden, no flames please because I said that.

I really want to see a side by side comparison between two exact engines. One will vary from 1Krpms to 4Krpms, and the other should vary from 1Krpms to 6.5Krpms. I really want to see if reving higher everyonce in a while will clean out the engine more and keep it running smoother?

So yeah, i redline completely about once a month due to doing too many things at once, and go to 6500 rpms about once a day!
