evo 8 recaros in an s15
hi, i bought a set of recaro seats from an evo 8. i made some modifications to the rails and fitted them to my s15.
the problem i have is head and leg to steering wheel clearance. i am about 1.73m and i almost hit the roof. also my left leg hits the steering wheel every time i shift. (steering wheel is as up as it can go) are there any aftermarket rails that are a straight swap and lower? thank you. |

Well, not sure if the rails on those seats are bolted on or welded on. I'd find some S-chassis recaro rails and make those work. I have Recaro SR3s on my S14 and with the rails, I got enough room to have a helmet on and still have alot of room.

You don't have as much clearance on S-chassis. I recommend selling those and get sidemount Recaros. |

The Evo has about 40" of front headroom, and that's with the Recaros.
S-chassis with stock seats have about 36-38" of headroom. You don't have as much room for the bottom mount Recaro as you would in an Evo. |
