Chino, CA Whats it like?
So there's a job in my field that has an opening in Chino, CA. I would consider moving there (from Pittsburgh, PA) to take the job. Since lots of you guys are from Cali I thought I would ask what is that area like? Cost of living, crime, etc etc. Give me the 411.

Crime is very low. I live in chino, cost of living is somewhat high since it is California. Lots of beautiful women though. About a 40 min drive from everything. 40 mins to beach 40-60 mins to mountains. Good place to live imo

I live a few mins from Chino, and I think it's a pretty cool place. I also have a few friends that live there. Weather is always awesome out here in SoCal. =)
You should move out here. |

You should take a visit before deciding. Just because the job is in Chino, doesn't mean you have to live there. There's a lot of cool cities in the surrounding area. It just depends on what you're in to.

Chino hills is the rich area, Chino is the lower one. Theres nothing really wrong with Chino though, its a cool area and really close to the big freeways, shops w/e.
I'd say move down here, the weather is awsome for most of the year. So many different people too. But then again I have no idea the cities are like in PA. |

Isn't there a prison in Chino? It smells like cow shit over there, too. It's funny because people who live there walk around as if they can't smell anything. I remember going to a BBQ there and didn't eat anything because it smelled like cow shit. lol

Friends live in chino hills off carbon canyon road etc.
Just alot of white people there, emo/hipster kids who have nothing better to do than do drugs. Move somewhere closer to los angeles, itll keep you busy and have stuff to do. I live near hollywood and Ive actually been to clubs where people from chino etc go too and like wtf who spends 50 minutes to go to a club? That should show you how boring it is to live out there. |

I live in CH. Honestly, I don't like it, I'd much rather live in Chino. There's something wrong with the cops and everybody seems like they are better than everybody else. Chino has a real PD that knows what they're doing. Like someone said earlier, really low crime.
I stopped noticing the cow smell too, haha. Let me know if you go to chino and need a room mate haha |

no idea how chino is but if its in San Bernadino area i think that area kind of Sux. mostly cause theres more dirt than i would like to see but like five10 ray said, you should check out the area before moving out here. everyone has different preferences, maybe the heat will be unberable for you, who knows. |

come live in Pomona!
northern pomona is nicer. Cops do cop stuff, ie drugbust, house calls, shooting gangsters, the regular shit. They don't waste their time pulling over cars with no bumpers or hoods (me). The cops are nice. One time, me and 2 other buddies were leaving my house to work on a car. I was in the back. No seats, no seatbelts. we got rolled, he asked if we had drugs, where we came from and where we were going. After seeing we weren't from the druggie part, he looked at me and said "Hang on for dear life." and chuckled. GG. |
