Question about carbon fiber?

hey guys

I'm looking into getting a carbon fiber trunk and hood. i have had a carbon fiber hood on all my cars pretty much never had a trunk. i just want to know from the people that's had a trunk if there like the hoods that get cracked from opening and closing them all the time?

my hoods always get cracked from closing it. i never used the fasteners maybe that's why they crack from me pushing on them to lock it down. but i want to know if the trunk are like this too? being that i don't go in my trunk a lot i might be safe?

i also like to know if there's much of a weight savings by doing this. is this more for looks or am i able to save some pretty good weight?

also for my last question i see them on eBay and i want to know i see some for 500-900. im not trying to drop 1k on this so i have bough the hoods for 500-600 witch are really good and really hold up but the cracking that i got in the front from the hood latching had to be my fault.

if you can please answer all my questions that would be great. i waiting for a few reply to my questions before i buy it. im mainly looking for weight savings looks im sure it will look good on my white car. the hood always looks nice so im sure the trunk will too. so anyhow please share you experience with me on this

thank you~!
