S13 hatch L̶S̶x̶ VH45 ground up SMOG legal build
've been contemplating this idea for a long time.
Finally found a clean chassis worth building up. It's a 1990 240sx hatchback, 71K on the clock, it was auto. I hope to make it CA legal, VH45 + CD009 6 speed, stitch welded and reinforced car. Might throw in a cage. I haven't decided yet. Slowly started making progress, so I decided to share it with you guys. I'll let the pictures do the talking from now on. I also realized my build thread was in the wrong area. Its a clean chassis besides the fact that some moron decided to spray random colors in the engine bay Stitch welded the front of the car. Fabbed some strut tower reinforcements Made a "nismo" brace Stripped the interior for carpet cleaning and wire harness cleanup

This is exactly want to do and I'll be happy with my life. Whatever it takes, however much money, I want a daily driver S13 with a VH45DE in it. Either smog legal or figure out where I can pay a little extra to make it legal ;P

I was going to do this build but the numbers just don't add up. And I researched as many vh swaps as I could and the success rate isn't too high. When and if you do get the VH in there running efficiently I'd like to come by to give you props and check it out. I'm about 40 minutes from Roseville. Once again, good luck and I'll be watching this build!

the problem you will run into is the headers, you can ask to modify the headers so it will fit and it will be the same length as stock, you can probably get it approved..
