The final set-up looks great!
As stated above, it looks stock, which is a good thing for us Californians. I'm definitely interested, especially with that price. Subscribeddd. |

There's a pretty good supercharged forum on ka-t.org if you guys wanna learn more about the whole dealio.
The main things to know is that after about 250hp, the m62 from the Frontier/Xterra is out of its efficiency range, and only produces more heat. Right up at 250hp, most people are running water/meth injection to cool down the intake temps as it is, anyway. The down side of this setup is you're pretty limited to the m62 or the m90 (which takes a bit more work to fit on the header-size of the engine). Still... instant boost, and the s/c plays off the strengths of the KA really well, too! |

Similar setups run say 240rwhp, considering that a brand spanking new rebuilt ka does 130-140rwhp and older ka's run 120ish rwhp on a dyno, *(found numbers on youtube dyno vids) +100rwhp for under $400, less then $4/hp awesome bargain! Even if it was ramped up to $550 or so as a full bolt on kit, this would be a top seller in my book.
For a quick comparison to turbo, a full ka-t kit from cx racing is $1300 on the cheap end for the kit, and that's a very inexpensive kit, it produces 232rwhp on 7psi *(taken from their website), about +90rwhp which gives us $14.4/hp Maybe I'll do this too, would love a touch more power from the ka and being different is always good times Awesome job man. |

Definitely something I'd be interested in if the price was right. If anyone is working out the details on a kit, keep us updated.

My good friend and I did this to his KA within the same budget, no tune yet, but that thing feels crazy. We did it on a budget instead of buying the expensive thomas knight kit

Got the tune burned on the chips and the car ran great. Did a couple pulls everything seemed solid. Went back to the house for a sec. Went back out and the 350z oil filter that I used due to its smaller size fell off because it did not have enough thread engagment. I ordered an oil filter relocation kit so it should be back up and going when I get that in the mail and installed. I think the motor is ok because I shut it off as soon as the oil pressure dropped. If not Ill be throwing in my spare motor. Will keep ya'll updated. This week has been all about school and less about the car because it is final exam week.

great idea and budget i think this is sick especially for a daily driver ...im deff with everyone else that said if its sold for about the price it cost you id take one,
im a few grand into my sr build just like many other =/ ...the stupid motor sits on an engine stand and laughs at my wallet daily and p.s i know to make it yourself would be very time consuming as a college student but if your good with custom fabrication i think it would be an easy way to get extra money |

Unfortunately, I dont think I would be able to manufacture the parts and sell a kit for the same price that I did mine. If you want to put together a kit like mine for the same price you are not going to get around doing the fabrication yourself. The materials for each kit would add up to about $120, maybe more. If I was going to sell this stuff, here would be my prices:
Adapter plate~ $150 Belt tensioner~ $130 Intake pipe w/throttle cable bracket~ $130 It takes me alot of man hours to manufacture this stuff unless I wrote a CAD program for it and had it CNC'd somewhere, which I may look into... Then just add your own supercharger. Your looking at $410 for my kit plus $150 or so for a supercharger. Total of $560 for the basic ingredients to supercharge your KA. Still not bad if you ask me. |

Ok so, I have been getting a TON of PM's about interest in these parts. Let me refine my kit a little bit and I'll consider putting these parts out there for sale. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and interest in my setup.

looks cool man. i dig it!! i wish i had the time to do something lik this. id probably use a bit bigger supercharger, cams and run E85. i think if you could get 275whp out of it with a supercharger it would be SUPER insanely fun to drive.
