another ssautochrome warning
i purchased ss autochrome complete turbo back from dump pipe to catback, downpipe and test pipe included..
the downpipe's flanges are clocked completely wrong as to where the downpipe goes into the tranny they tried sayin it was to a ca8det and that it was my fault if you read the item description it says for sr20det a million times http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1 I have learned not to cut corners any more im not going to buy ssauto only thing i can really do now is threaten to leave negative feedback and open a paypal not as described dispute. ssauto= unsupportive shitheads |

Don't threaten you will leave bad feedback, because you can get in trouble with Ebay. Just leave the negitive, and try to work it out with them to remove it.

I'm a firm believer in, you get what you pay for. And lets all keep in mind, this company makes money off RIPPING OFF reputable manufactors who dump hordes of money into R&D to improve our aftermarket. I will never send one dime to them.

My buddy bought an 02 housing and equal length manifold, and the only problems we had was we had to wallow out the holes for 02 housing where it conects to the turbo....I have heard 50/50 on these guys but would probably not buy from them just because there isnt enough research in there product to validate it, IMO.....
Sorry About your luck.....I do know that i sold a guy my topspeed (from JGY customs) downpipe when i bought the remote cutout for my sr and he used it on a CA18DET (fit fine).....Not sure why the CA18DET/SR20DET fitment would be an issue either way..... |

the stock CA18 dump tube's flange is clocked about 30* from what the SR20's is. if he uses the dump tube he recieved with the kit, it will all work fine.

Well i'll give you my experience, i bought one not knowing the connection to SSAC (yes i know stupid me, live and learn). Anyway 3k later when i put my car up for the winter and took off my manifold i noticed excessive shaft play. i emailed ssac, told them the deal and they told me to send it back, even though my auction said no warrenty. I recieved a brand new turbo, slighlty different design on the outside, at no cost. Well not having the cash to throw down for a new one, i'm going to give it a shot again, i'll just be checking it every 3k till i can afford a real turbo.
Ratings SSAC: Quality F Warrenty A- Recomendation, dont buy anything from them you dont want to replace twice a year.

strangely enough i have an extra SR downpipe (not SSAC but same thing) and we tried it on my buddies CA this weekend. it didnt work.
it would have fit but it would have dragged on the ground, i guess the turbo is lower on the CA than on the SR?!?!? the dual chamber turbo extension from SSAC fit on the turbo but it didnt line up to the stainless downpipe or the stock one... neither one could be used. unrelated sorta but the KA clutch also doesnt work in CA as some people say. |

i usually stick to japanese made parts...as many people have said, you get what you pay for.....and in most cases, the money you save buying a poor quality part will bite you in the arse later on...possible for more.

This kinda seesm like the D2 coil-overs posts that I have been reading. SOme hate them, so love them. I was interested here b/c I want the whole turbo back exhaust and I have heard great things about SS, and now I have heard bad things. I guees it helps that my neighbor owns an exhaust shop, so either way I should be golden.

Wow this post is old. Anyways Delubozparts is the ebay seller that sells a decent turbo back exhaust for the s13. It has a resonator and a removeable silencer.
