rack and pinion bushing replacement question

Do I need to remove the whole rack and pinion in order to replace the bushings or can I install still attached?

No. Get under your car and you'll see how simple it is.

No. You will only need to remove a bracket on the rack, then detach the old ones. They will have a cut in them just like the new ones so you can just slip them off.
Then slip the new ones on and re-mount the bracket.

That's if I recall correctly, haven't done that shit in a long time. But I don't recall having to remove the entire rack. Someone correct me if it's just a bracket holding them onto the rack or something else.

Just to help you out, i'lll make a cgi cartoon of a anime warrior, turned drifter, changing out his bushings on his sweet 240.

If you won't take the time out to look under your car to see what you might be getting into ( for the sake of learning ) you shouldn't be working on your car. Just take it to a shop and pay them to do it.
