Fresh out of paint (56k you've been warned)

Well after almost 3 months of having my car in the shop for my autobody class, I'm finally finished. It's amazing how little you can get done when you only have a couple hours a day to work. Anyways, I painted the car Nissan Super Black and shaved the foam wing, 3rd brake light, antenna, rear wiper, and rear side markers. Then two days after I got it out of the shop, I took it in to have my Espelir ASD springs installed and to have my windows tinted. Enough about that though, here are the pics. They aren't the greatest and the car isn't the cleanest, but you should get the idea. I have yet to hone my photo taking abilities. And please excuse the ghetto ebay "carbon fiber" muffler with a primed tip (must have missed it during masking, oh well). I don't know why I bought it. But I just thought I would point that out to begin with cuz I know how we 240 guys can be. Hopefully that and the pimpin 7 spokes wont be on much longer. Enjoy.

After paint:

What it looks like now:

And a shot of the wheel gap with the new springs:

Nice job from what I can see. WASH that car. I Love black cars. So you say that you painted it yourself, how hard was it? Overall nice car.

Yeah, I painted it myself in my autobody class at school. It was alot of labor. It probably took me a total of 3 months to finish, but of course that's only having 2 or 3 hours a day to work on it. It wouldn't have taken as long if I hadn't shaved everything that I did. It's a lot of work but well worth it.

yea how did you shave the brake light? did you put a piece of metal on the underside of it then fill the rest w/ bondo and sand smooth? or did you bondo over it and just smooth it out over a larger area? i know how to fill holes but not a big void like that. Im doing the foam wing deletion too, but want to know if the brake light is worth the effort. Also, it looks like the front windows arent tinted? is that b/c of local laws or what? finally, are those mud flaps on the front or what? those arent factory are they? i need some of those for when i paint my car flat black, to keep from washing it.

I just put a steel plate behind the opening and MIG welded it into place. After that I filled in what was left of the brake light with some fiberglass filler and then a few skim coats of plastic filler. And the fronts are tinted, just not very much. I think its like 50%, which is the local law around here. I would have liked to get them darker, but having them like this the cops wont bother me. And the mud flaps are stock factory equipment as far as I know. check with a Nissan dealer and see if you can purchase them.
