This may sound funny, but I have NEVER had anything other than coilovers on all of my 'fun' cars... I'm selling my HKS coilovers and 'downgrading' to performance shocks/struts.

Okay- Measuring and adjusting ride heght with coilovers is simple... but going back to shocks/struts, I have NO IDEA how to choose which springs to get... and I am also not 100% sure if there is even such a thing as a height adjustment built into the shocvk/strut design besides changing springs.

I'm sure there is an easy way to do this- and I have limited search ability on this POS work computer.

Long story short- all I care about (besides a quality, balanced, fun ride) is the correct ride height... and being able to dial the front camber back in to compensate. I don't give a fuck-all about anything else... and I don't care to adjust for this, that and the other- quite simply, I just want to install, align and 'go' lol.

Tire sizes as follows:

Front- 235/45/17
Rear- 275/40/17

I have on idea from the hip:

- Seeing as how my height hasn't changed since the 180SX in Okinawa, I suppose I could just use that as a guide by measuring from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender... then doing some addition/subtraction(?)
Still seems like there is a more exact way- But I have no idea what 'stock' ride height is.

Do you have a budget Mike? Set of adjustable (dampening) shocks will be about $150 each and springs will be another $200. You could potentially be looking at $800 for a setup, which isnt that far off from just getting some decent entry level coilovers.

Did I miss something? I have amazing HKS coils that are smooth & forgiving compared to many- I don't WANT them anymore and they are for sale

I am getting old lol... I don't drift or spend enough time at the track to justify them... I'm looking at the Koni/Tanabe shock/spring sets, but I'm not sure how the height would be affected... and even though I'm from Central Cali, I'm not Mexican enough to cut/heat springs haha. All I care about is the right height and front camber. Looking for ideas from y'all who know.
