benns, I believe you're right. When Car and Driver tested the S14 when it was first released, they said it was .89, which I think is pretty awesome for our cars.

Some where I saw someone who retested with R compound tires using a G-Tech(?) and pulled over 1g. Otherwise, all stock - that is really impressive for a low price sports car.

make sure you two are debating on the same skidpad ratings, me and my friend used to debate before we realized there's a 200ft and 300ft skidpad, hehe. anyways i've heard .83 for 200ft and .87 for 300ft.

.89 is what I've heard and read as well. Acording to Road and track, that's higher then a McLaren F1, BMW 330 CI, and .01 lower then a Ruf RGT, not bad for an enrty level sports car.

That would be Don Nimi. '91 Hatch SE SuperHicas with R compound (no other suspension mods) got 1.1g continous and 1.2g peak back in '91.
Another 240sx.org member, got 1.2g continous with a sorted AutoX suspension and R compound. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Quote: from HippoSleek on 9:14 am on Nov. 9, 2001 Some where I saw someone who retested with R compound tires using a G-Tech(?) and pulled over 1g. I've seen Don's car, pretty sure he was running eibach prokit and GAB adjustable shocks/struts, and whiteline heavy duty sway bars. He's advertising for his company. No 10 yearold stock 240 with awesome rubber could pull over up to and over 1.0g's on a skid pad. |

You totally missed the part about back in '91.
Don was able to win the Canadian National C class (?) AutoX championship in '91. Now with his Zeal race setup, who knows. Don's one #### of a driver. His 510 race car is way cool... Too bad it's in pieces. |

CRX used it to pull over 1). I'd like to know as well. I know I pulled a heck of a turn trying to drift the other day. Any other car I've driven would have lost it, but mine held.

i disagree.......... i changed my tires and BAM the handling characteristics went up... i have been able to stay stable through turns at a higher rate of speed, i'd beg to differ with ur thoughts.

.87.... .89... #### those numbers SUCK.
I MISS MY HICAS! How many times do I have to say it =) I really like my S14 though, but I miss the .95 G capability... I'm sure it did less than that, but I know it was much much much better than my S14. Try taking the same exit ramp at 110 mph in my S14.. ugh .. .87 is Camaro territory, that's not good. But know what? It doesn't matter... We're all on this forum because we're interested in trying to keep our cars as far from STOCK as possible =) no matter what 240sx u have, it's an excellent platform for handling... -Rob |

Haha...yeah...you and your #### HICAS...haha...I wonder what kinda G's I'm pullin' with my setup. Can anyone guesstimate? GAB Super HP's, H&R's, ST Sways, A'pexi Al FSTB, Nismo RSTB. I'm sure with some good tires, it'd prolly be near or maybe even a little over 1...You know how tight it feels Rorert...HAHA

You know, maybe some people should be removed from the s14 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>... I bet you could get two of your beloved s13's for the value of you s14! ... oh the slings and arrows... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
In any event, I agree that Nissan should have made the s14 a better performer... after all, in a skid pad comparison, it lost to the Boxster, NSX, 911 Carrera 4, and the Viper! Besides, everyone knows that a Z06 pulls 1.0g! http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~kpfleger/auto/handling.html I'll take .89- and rub it in the noses of owners of z3's, A4's, Celica GT-S's and the rest. I *red heart* my s14! (Edited by HippoSleek at 9:31 am on Nov. 13, 2001) |

Base S13 pulled .82 stock? Doesn't surprise me.. I was comparing apples to oranges, as usual... the sloppy handling of my S14 compared to that of my HICAS S13... No comparison.
