"Its going to be a LONG day and a chance a pro license. there is no set number of licenses to give out, we might give out 0, 1, or 4,932. things to expect to have to do to get a license...be close to clips -must maintain drift whole course (spin or straighten will not allow you a license) We plan on setting up the course at start of the day and giving you all day to practice it. Aiming for 10 runs a person before you qualify. We want to give everyone as best a shot as possible. Qualifying for a license will be 2 or 3 judged runs (we will know the day of) and the exact requirements or score you must get will be decided before then as well. THE ONLY RUNS THAT REALLY MATTER ARE QUALIFYING. When we enter qualifying portion of the event, it doesn't matter if you d1 style killed the course on every practice run, if you can't do it during qualifying then sorry. same goes for if the person doesn't get the course all day and throws down a good one during qualifying. If they meet requirements and its on the qualifying run, then they get a license." - Judge Jason "Box Mod" Jiovani Last edited by Densetsu Motorsports; 03-04-2008 at 12:17 AM.. |

Here it is Marc.
from LA, Total Est. Time: 7 hours, 29 minutes Total Est. Distance: 508.05 miles About $75 dollars one way from LA, and $75 dollars back. My biggest concern would be crashing at the track. is the course on a track or open??? |

I attended the AZ qualifier next year and the biggest danger was cones, I'd imagine they'd set up the course similar this year
no point in seeing a bunch of crumpled up drift cars and the drive wasn't too bad we did a straight overnight there, slept 2 hours or so, did the qualifier and left afterwards to go compete at drift buffet the next day in a ford econoline! edit: just saw your last question there in BOLD, lol. it'll be in a parking lot

**For everyone out of state your entry fees are only $75 to help offset the costs of traveling! When you paypal make sure you put where you are located!**
Yes this is a lot event and the surface is not super soft. With the idea that you get about 10-12 practice runs max and then your judged runs you wont have tons of time to kill tires. If there is time left over at the end of the day the course will be open for you guys to tear up. No cage nor fire suit required...tech is the same as any regular drift event. There is no risk for damage here unless you somehow go off the track and end up in the dirt. We will only be using cones..not stacked, and no k rails. The lot is huge and we will be setting up a high speed technical course. Usually we run 2 courses at the same time here one with a 3rd gear entry and one for intermediate drivers. I am in the midst of working out discounted rates at a hotel close to the track for all of our out of town drivers. Worst case if you can't afford a room you can sleep outside of the track...or I can see what we can do. We will have on site tire mounting..the track has running water, a full grill, as well as they serve tapped beer (For those of you not driving ) Here are some vids to give you an idea of the lot..this is one of the 2 courses we run.. [ame]http://youtube.com/watch?v=1Z-rqt3hy9Q[/ame] [ame]http://youtube.com/watch?v=5Ra-m0CrWag&feature=related[/ame] P.S. This is one of your judges..if he can do it..so can you! I think so.
Gotta check my schedule. But it shouldn't be that much to drive over and give it a shot. see where I stand. And since there is no walls, thats much more appealing since my s13 is still my daily. |

The track will be a lot more technical as it is for a qualifier. We plan on only have 1 course which will make it longer and also meaning a lot faster entry speed Come on out and represent guys! Lets have a good turn out!

I talked to one of the many people putting this together and she said they are probably gonna get the judges opinion for a layout. |

We will be for sure mounting. We usually don't lug out the balancer. I am also working on getting a tire company out to bring out tires and all of their equipment so we don't have to bring ours. They brought over 200 tires to a different event and everyone seemed to like working with them so we will see...
On another note..I got some discounted hotel rates for you all with a couple different choices.... all hotels have trailer parking 1. Palo Verde Inn & Suites Normally $99 $42 when you say you are with Turn Style Drift 5251 S. Julian Dr Tucson, AZ 85706 (520) 294-5250 2. Comfort Suites Normally $129.99 $79 when you say you are with Turn Style Drift 6935 S. Tucson Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85706 (520) 295-4400 And possibly a marriott, I need to contact the mgr tomorrow |
