yeah i still have holes in the trunk from previous spoiler.
i would need these holes covered up with paint...and its its a used kouki wing.

i would need the black thing removed from old wing(kouki) and it reapplied.
the black sticky thing....
if anyone does this let me know as opposed to just drilling holes etc

Your betteroff going to that body shop then cuz the Kouki wing dosent cover all the holes from the usdm wing.

you are getting high quotes because it is a "lot" of work.

They have to fill in the holes and prep everything. respray the parts, etc.

lots of sanding, filling ,etc.

iirc, 2 of the holes fit, the others dont, and you have to drill an extra hole or 2.

if you want the unused holes filled and painted over, $130-140 is not a bad price at all.

either way, body shop is going to drill some new holes for the wing and probably the same way you're going to do it.

that black foam between the wing and trunk, probably have to source it from dealer. unless autozone or kragen sells something similar.

thanks man, body shop installed it by drilling 2 new holes, cleaned up black thing from previous, put a new black thing and pluged up the 2 existing holes so no water gets in for $88!

Only bad thing is if i wanted it painted over and the 2 holes completely gone to make it flush, they quoted me $350.....
if i had knew that i would of just gotten a trunk lid with no holes....
FUCK...but still a good shop nonetheless i highly reccomend it!
the owner also knows the value of s chassis!

If your car is your baby, why would you want a shop that can do it for 'cheap.' I have yet to find a shop that does clean work for cheap. You get what you pay for...you gotta pay to play!!! I thought you worked at BMW doing detailing for them...you cant get them to do it? $130 is nothing.

not cheap, but not some overpriced BS. I do clean work for cheap =]
Body shop wont do it for me at BMW but I got a paint guy and mechanic guy to work on the s14. only thing im bitching about now is that i need to fork out $350 to get those 2 holes that are plugged up right now to be completely gone and make it flush..OR i can sell the wing and trunk lid i have now and buy one with no holes for $300 and with a silvia badge already on =p

if i had known the body shop was gonna drill and plug the holes ONLY for $88 but charge $350 to completely remove the plugged holes, then i would of just sold the wing and trunk BEFORE getting it drilled and bought the wing with trunk lid.
SIGH
