aerodynes gymkhana is the shit
Hey guys i just went to compete in aerodynes gymkhana competition this past weekend at the balcony in willow and let me tell you it was freakin great.
I've been to numerous track days at the just drift's balcony, oval; dday, irwindale and by far this one gymkhana event has taught me more on car control than any other event. The best part of it all is that its only 50 dollars and from my understanding it has been at that price since the beginning. If you guys really want to learn try out gymkhana. Honestly it will be worth it. go to http://www.aerodyne.net then to events on the left menu bar for info. I think the next one will be in NOV.

I agree, Aerodyne's gymkhana is an awesome event! I was there for the Saturday event, but unfortunately, the owner/manager/whoever in charge, accidently double-booked the balcony with Drift 101, so the gymkhana people got to do an open track event at Big Willow. It actually worked out for me, because I'm more of a road racing person, and I've always wanted to drive Big Willow to feel what the track is like. It was AWESOME!! My favorite corner was Turn 8, a right-hand sweeper entering the corner flat out at 100mph! It felt amazing being on the edge of control going that fast. I got my car up to 115mph at the end of the front straightaway. I was also there on Sunday at the balcony, but just to watch for a little bit until noon, because I had to start heading back home to NorCal. I will sure try to go to their next event!
