Question on BC stage two springs
So I recently purchased a used built s13 SR20 redtop. The previous owner built the engine and didn't do it correct.
So I'm going behind his mess and saving this engine and it's going smoothly so far until the machine shop told me the valve spring seats aren't thick enough for the 90 lbs of close pressure needed for these set of springs. This head has had head work done previously, and now again. Metal has been shaved off here and there so it has made the thickness of the spring seats of course deeper. So to obtain this pressure he wants to stack two seat washers on top of each other to provide to correct pressure. I don't know if that's such a good idea.. Specs on head now is BC Valves, springs, retainers, guides, New valve seals New OEM rockers, lifters BC rocker stoppers BC 264 cams HKS cam gears Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
