Brake light on dash stays on

I have a 1990 240sx and i have the brake like on the dash. It stays on all the time and never goes away. When i pull the e-brake it gets brighter but idk why it stays on. Im trying to get it emissions tested but they dont want to because the light is on. What could it be?

Your brake fluid is low. Google it next time.

Your emission guy is a dumb. Its hard to say which is dumber the guy or the laws. First check your fluid if low top it off. if it stays on disconnect the sensor on the master. If it stays on then you have a short. You can have a short in the parking brake sensor. Start there. Like lalo167 said do a quick google search. It would have taken less time then making a post to get a good starting point.

Have a great day,
jared

Also this is in the wrong section. You will get roasted hard if you keep this kind of stuff up.

Have a great day,
