When buying a intake can i just get the filter and not the piping? If i get the piping will that increase performance?

Piping will add the power along with the cone. Talk to shawn over at autoimaging.com, he has a good price on the piping. Otherwise look for a Injen intake unit from Enjukuracing.com.

what abt the Iven's intake? it is the Injen look alike... how good is it?
cost? i got a quote of $100 shipped to me

Never heard of it. I know Shawn @ AutoImaging.com has a knock off of the Injen.

I've read that AEM now makes a cold air intake for the 240.  How good is it???

IMHO the Injen is better. The Injen will also give you the option of having the Cold Air Extension.
