Lol and i was told that forza 3 coming out this fall was a rumor.
That would be sweet if it really does come out this winter, cause it will prolly come out in the summer of 2010 lol. |

Requirements to make game epic: Bring back AutoX races, point to point races (Kaido and shipyard) + add more, and bring back the 1/4 track.

There are a bunch of new gameplay videos up on ign and gamespot. This info was posted by an employee on their official forum, but shortly removed.... So...a broad overview: Car content: Most of the tuner cars are gone, with the exception of the Mugen Honda Civic and Integra and the Mine's R32 and R34 Skyline. Thankfully, that means the awful tuner car liveries are gone too. For BrianJ: 1971 Skyline 2000GTR R33 GTR No R35 GTR, because they are a bunch of twatwaffles. Apparently the GTR team is independent from the rest of Nissan on many levels, one of them being licensing. The only way they would allow us to use the R35 was if it had no damage, no rollover, no custom wheels, no custom parts that improved performance, no painting, and no livery. So we said no thanks. I think that's a net +1 to the Skyline count. The usual suspects have also been added: Corvette ZR1 '09 Cadillac CTS-V 370Z Reventon Ferrari California Evo X GR STI Camaro Veyron etc.... If you like your wheels old school: Fiat 131 Abarth 2nd gen Toyota Celica Supra 250 Testa Rossa Aston Martin DB5 If you like doodoo: Versa Yaris Aveo Xd If you like Smokey and the Bandit or Knight Rider: '79 Camaro Z28 '87 Firebird '88 Camaro IROC-Z If you like trucks: Rang Rover Supercharged Saleen S331 Supercab Ram SRT10 Audi Q7 VW Toureg Porsche Cayenne If you like Italians: Alfa 8C Alfa Brera Alfa Mito Fiat 500 Abarth If you like race cars: Aston Martin Prodrive DB9s 997 and E92 BMW GT cars Porsche, Acura, and Mazda LMP cars Other interesting stuff: ST205 Celica GT4 RS200 Evolution '69 Dodge Charger Daytona AMG SL65 Black Renaultsport Twingo Meh....that's all I can think of off the top of my head. If you ask about a specific car it may jog my memory. As far as tracks go, the only big licensed one we added was Le Mans. Fujimikaido is back though and pretty cool, and we have some imaginary tracks that are a huge improvement over the older stuff. The big change to the Livery Editor is that all cars, including race cars, are paintable now. Black on black on black Ferrari Prodrive 550 GT1 racecar looks awesome. That is all. As far as rollover goes, what you saw in the first video is pretty hard to accomplish. It won't be like Burnout where every car to car contact will result in exploding rollover mayhem. It's actually fairly hard to do. So don't worry. While physics compromises were made in order to make the game "more fun" to a wider audience, it's still more simulator than arcade. The "one button" racing mode is basically massive assists and auto braking. You still have to steer and hit the gas, but it's designed for super casual quasi car guys that just want to race a pretty car around a track. All assists can be progressively turned off if you like. Customising has a new "quick option" that allows you to set a PI limit, then bias it in favor of speed or handling, and the game will select a set of upgrades for you. Should make getting a car tuned for a PI limit race easier for the uninitiated. The DLC plan is for 10 cars a month for the next year. Some of the cars will be things that didn't make it into the release version, like the Ford Escort RS1800 - some will be new cars we haven't seen yet, like the Corvette Gran Sport. I haven't the slightest clue what the track DLC plan is. That's about it for now off the top of my head that might be interesting to you guys. Cheers. Tofu R wrote: No 24 hour races if that's what your thinking. Other things that got cut: Weather Night/day Active aero (again!) Widebody kits with 12 inch wheels Some really cool driver animations Some digital gauge animations Custom underbodies (with rollover comes undercarriage modeling - unfortunately, all the cars use a generic layouts, so sometimes they are wrong; like the Lamborghinis have the transmission rearward of the engine instead of infront, etc.) Super high level of detail car models in replays (Currently the super high detailed models are used in the UI homespace/garage, thumbnails, livery editor, and photo mode). No exposed suspension cars like Ariel Atoms, Lotus 340Rs or Caterhams, even though T10 owns PGR and they had the tech to model working suspensions. Most of the cuts came about because there is immense pressure to hit the release date. There are careers on the line with this one, because FM1 and FM2 were so late. There WILL be a game called FM3 ready to go for October, the only question has been what kind of game it will be. No WTCC cars, There will Australian Supercars though, both Holdens and Fords. And NASCAR cars in all their asymetrical glory Tofu R wrote: The new Focus RS and the Fiesta. Others I forgot to throw in there: AMG ML63 Aston DBS Alfa Giulia Sprint 510 G8 GXP Evora 135i E60 M5 M1 X5 4.8i Z4M Coupe '94 Miata R-package '78 Firebird Viper SRT10 ACR 300C SRT8 Challenger SRT8 '09 Fit Sport 6th gen GTI Scirocco Volvo C30 R-Design Mazdaspeed3 Citroen C4 VTS IS-F A4 Touring Car C-Class Touring Car Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (might be DLC, can't remember) Stuff coming in DLC: Lancia 037 Corvette Grand Sport ST165 Celica GT4 Escort RS Cosworth SLR Stirling Moss '10 Shelby GT500 Murcielago LP670SV RX-3SP Starion Turbo MR2 Supercharged '10 Boxster S Panamera 599FX '64 Impala SS Okay....so, the video. One of the community coordinators is a member of Team Blackjack, who do really cool drift videos using the existing physics engine. T10 took one of their videos and said "Using our tools, turn this up to 11". Unfortunately, it was turned up to Ludicrous Speed. Every single car guy who saw the video hated it. Everyone was overruled by upper management on the basis that if the Team Blackjack videos were good, then this would be even more exciting, and they made it a centerpiece of the E3 presentation. Most of what was in the video is possible with the game physics engine, if you have the tuning and driving skill to pull it off. The egregiously silly stuff was....shall we say, "tuned" for the video. Fear not for the physics. Although there were compromises made in the interest of playability and accessibility, I think that the car dynamics will be pretty satisfying for you guys. The people that are largely responsible for the physics behavior are of a much higher caliber "car guy" then last time, and include a rally driver, a very experienced autocrosser, and a guy who used to design suspension bits for H&R, so I think as much as it is possible for a title like this, the physics will be on lockdown. I'm sure people will find things to nitpick with, but that's just the reality of designing a huge title meant to appeal to a very wide base of people in a compressed amount of time. |

Sadly i only placed 79th. The top 9 hot laps were run by friggin machines.
• Xbox and Audi also announced they will host an exciting and exceptionally unique AXF-24 Audi-Forza Challenge, which will take place June 13-14 at the Audi Forum in New York City. Xbox has selected nine of its top North American Forza competitors as determined by rankings on Xbox Live to converge on New York to compete in a 24-hour endurance competition in “Forza Motorsport 3” running concurrent to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. The gamers will be split into three teams of three drivers, just like Le Mans racing teams on a yet to be announced track debuting in game upon release in October. The winning team at the end of the 24 hours on Sunday morning will win an all-expenses paid trip for them and a guest to the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans race where they will be hosted by Audi. The 24-hour challenge is unique in the world of video game development. Rarely will a game developer put a franchise title through such a rigorous trial so far in advance of its public release. The event will be kicked off by Speed Channel host Kelli Stavast. Media and special guests will be able to take turns at the wheel of “Forza Motorsport 3.” Audi will showcase the legendary R8 and R10 Le Mans race cars and offer a variety of activities throughout the weekend for fans. Xbox and Audi will work together on several additional upcoming cross-promotional opportunities and events, including the Audi Centennial Celebration in August and the “Forza Motorsport 3” launch in late October. |

hopefully they put 180sx's in there finally. and take in part in doing some more visual enhancements. wheel fitment tuning, different wheel faces depending on width. and cosmetic height adjustment without harm to performance. just stupid little stuff that would make it 10000000% better.
