Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World.
I didn't see a thread for this so decided to post it up and see what others might think of this movie.
Personally, I enjoyed it like crazy lol. I was laughing through about 70% of the entire movie. The whole meshing of 16-bit video game art throughout the movie really made it visually pleasing. I don't know... I'm not much of a movie critic but this one goes towards the top of my list on favorite movies . |

Seems interesting, but at the same time, I don't feel like paying to go see it.
Will probably wait 'till it comes out on DVD or something unless I read some great reviews to make me think otherwise. |

Everyone says how great this movie is, but the trailers do not make me want to see it at all.
I wonder how much longer Michael Cera can play the same character in every film. |

Sidenote: What is with Chris Evans and all the comic book movies!? He's trying to corner the market or something! 2 Fantastic 4 movies, The Losers, Scott Pilgrim and now Captain America! And probably more that I don't know about... WTF... |

Just saw this last night. Great movie. Its funny, cute and entertaining. Of course it is a love story and it has its sappy part at the end but even then its still funny.
I highly recommend this movie.

I loved this movie. Epic in every way and cute, but it's for a target audience.
If you aren't a gamer then it probably isn't for you. And by gamer, I don't mean current day gamers with Madden or COD type of stuff. The OG gamers of Final Fantasy and fighting games of the earlier era.

I'll probably be watching this with my GF pretty soon. The trailers don't make me want to watch it, but I'm always down for a good laugh.
I was big on Final Fantasy so since you said that, I am intrigued. |

far exceeded my expectations. I haven't read the comics but I liked it. like people said before its for the people who grew up with the "OG" Zelda, Final Fantasy, and 8bit games.
Best 6 dorars I've spent. |

Semi-OG gamers. It was more 16bit stuff references. All zelda soundeffects were from SNES Link to the Past.
I wish they developed ther characters more though. Thats my only gripe. |

I would guess Michael Cera is genuinely funny in real life but the character he is playing is pretty much himself so it's really going to be hard to break out of it. Plus he's been in a ton of stuff and most, if not all, does well so until that check doesn't clear, Hollywood ain't gonna stop eating out.
