Rb25 motor rb20 transmission

Hello I have been searching and there are so many possibilities for mounting this swap im having a difficult time putting together all the info.

I'm swapping an rb25 into my s13. It has an rbb20 trans and r33 front crossmember with stock mounts.

I know I'll be able to use my s13 driveshaft but im confused if the transmission mounts will line up and if it will clear the sway bar. Can anyone speak on this exact setup? Oh and will I have problems with the shifter position?

Thanks

Stop where you are... Go buy a RB25 transmission, RB20 trans is like bolting KA trans up to a turbo VQ35. It just isn't a good idea and will not last very long.

Should bolt up exactly like in scotch's r32, only thing that might not sit right MAY be the tranny mount which may need some tweaking. My rb20 set up sit perfect with the r32 subframe , rb mounts and my sway bar fit it just sits almost on the the pan but no issues after 2 years

YEah for one I don't care if it last long. I'm just running stock tune so it'll be fine, besides this is a bare bones swap, but thanks for the comment.

Second I figured that would be the only problem. I think the sikky sway bar is more for ls1 swap just read some people talking about it and got me worried.

I should have just posted this on driftstl

RB20 tranny can handle the RB25 as long as it stays fairly stock. People run this setup all the time to save money since you wont need to get a custom driveshaft.

What people have done in Japan is used an Automatic R33 tranny mount, flip it and lines up to the 4 tranny mount holes to the body.
