to be honest, they both serve the same function, preventing excessive buildup of oil in the head. Both of them serve the same purpose . Have a nice day everyone. Bump!

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnNO!!!
the crank collar is needed because the contact area on the oil pump needs to be increased or you will have a oil pump failure during high rpms!!! 2 totally different issues, not busting ur balls but please be informed! good day!

Nice buildup of the engine but yes totally different issues going on there buyer would have to tear it all down again to get the crank machined for the collar then this engine will be totally legit glws

Pictures of the work done and the final "as shipped" product would be helpful to your sale.
Technically, the crank collar mod is to defeat the issue of oil pump gear damage. Since the OEM collar does not fully cover the whole surface area of the oil pump drive and there is play, abrupt motion (i.e. clutch kicks, instant accelearation, etc.) will hit the drive on the oil pump and weaken it eventually causing it to crack and no longer function. Installing oil restrictors does not fix the crank collar issue and if he has a head drain kit, restrictors would be doing more than what is necessary. On top of that, restrictors won't necessarily fix issues with the RB. If you don't know how to set it up, you might cause more problems. He should have done a crank collar, but running no aftermarket restrictors on this build is perfectly fine.

I decided on no restricter and I blocked one oil port on the block. Crank collar with spool import gears and I'm seeing 8 bar pressure with about 15w40. That's on break in
