So I need a small project to keep me busy while I save up some cash.I'm a huge fan of BMW's angel eyes... so I was think in of work in them into my stock flip up headlights. That way when my lights are hidden you wouldn't see the halos, then for twilight hours I'd run the halos. Now I know they sell fixed headlight conversions that have the halos, but I don't like them. . So I'm going to attempt to tear down my headlights and install them. The angel eyes themselves are only 36 bucks on eBay so its def a nice lil project, let me know your thoughts

First off I'm talking about the legit angel eyes... the circle strips with a small section cutout at the top....not those god awful ugly ass things in that picture. Secondly what does my age have to do with it? I was pretty clear in saying BMW angel eyes, not "ghetto ass eBay square rave lights

I'd run these with 6500k 35w hid kit... may run blue in the halos though, considering the car will be white

See I'm not a huge fan of the projector conversions. Think of a completely stock s13 headlight...only with the angel eye in it... with the cutoff section at the top. Being that it my look a bit weird in a square headlight housing, I may have to either smoke the edges or paint it black so when the headlights come up they look like one big circle headlamp..hope I'm making sense, its late and I can't think straight lol

I don't mind hearing peoples opinion, but there's a big difference between telling someone that a proposed project won't look good and being a complete ass (and completely off base at that). If someone were to say " don't do it, so and so tried it and it didn't look good" ...I could respect that

angel eyes are pretty useless if you ask me.

divert your energy into retrofitting a quality bi-xenon projector into the 6054 housing.

-then maybe throw on a pair of ccfl angel eyes for kicks.

fabrication isn't always the cheapest thing. And I also can't imagine a circle headlight inside of a square.. it'd be weird. and somewhat of a bmw ripoff imo.

do what you want though and good luck. i'd be in over my head if i was messing with shit like that.

I know from a friend who owns an e36 with some angel eye kit that something with wiring was messed up (or something along those lines) and it was draining all of the engery from his tail/brake lights and they got really dim and burnt out pretty quickly. so see what you can find about that

and to everyone else, you can give your opinion without being SUCH A DICK. it makes zilvia a better place for everyone else

Couldn't agree more prophet. Like I've said numerous times before, I love angel eyes and I thought they would look cool if done properly on the s13... and its only 34 bucks for the angel eyes, small price to pay to keep me occupied lol. Plus I live the droppy sleepy eye look on cars

i could see sleepy eyes with angel eyes in them looking great.

but the ability to run your lights while having them "sleepy" is a little more difficult than non running ones as far as i know. and make sure they aren't a poorly constructed set of angel eyes.

Go buy a BMW if you like those horrid looking things so much. The only way it'd look remotely decent is with a projector conversion like posted earlier, but instead you want the shitty light output of the square housings and distastefule act of putting a ccfl halo inside of that square housing.
